Some Kind of String: Cool shoelaces, rexlace, birthday ribbon, thin boat rope, small suitcase padlock, grand mama's clothesline or her yarn
Three-hole Paper Punch
Stiff Paper: Construction paper, new shirt cardboard, shirt gift box, dad's (or any big feet) shoe box lids trimmed to 8.5"x11" or 9"x11"
Decorating Stuff: stickers, glitter glue, paint: acrylic - tempera - finger, markers or crayons

Now...

Stab two stiff papers with the 3-hole punch (1 stiff paper at a time
gently tap with a shoe heel if needed).
Pierce your coloring sheets (10 - 15) with the 3-hole punch (do 2-3 at a time).
Decorate one or both stiff papers. Let dry if needed. These are your book covers.
Place your coloring sheets between your book covers.
Thread and tie-off your string or close padlock into the holes of your new coloring book.
